The GCC¡¯s five aluminium companies have seen a 31% increase in aluminium production in 2014 resulting in just under 5 million tonnes of primary aluminium being produced.
The GCC, which comprises Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) of the UAE, Alumnium Bahrain (Alba) of Bahrain, Ma¡¯aden Aluminium of Saudi Arabia, Qatalum of Qatar and Sohar Aluminium of Oman, collectively produces 10% of the world¡¯s total aluminium.
